Terms of service
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Yumraya Limited Liability Company
INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") regulate the terms of use of the online shopping platform (hereinafter referred to as "Online Shop") available on the website www.yumraya.com, operated by Yumraya Limited Liability Company (registered office: 149 Budapest, Nagy Lajos Király útja 176, ground floor 4, company registration number: 01-09-440499, registering court: Metropolitan Court of Registration, tax number: 32746983-1-42, hereinafter referred to as "Yumraya.com").
In addition to these GTC, we have special terms and conditions that apply to certain other services, products, promotions, and memberships (hereinafter referred to as "Special Conditions"). These Special Conditions take precedence over the present GTC.
Yumraya.com operates as a retail business primarily aiming to meet the needs of individual consumers. Yumraya.com also sells products for resale. If the Service is used by a legal entity rather than a natural person, the entity must provide the necessary billing details (company name, registered office, company registration number, tax number, email address) during registration in the Online Shop.
The Service is available to legal entities and natural persons over the age of 18 who register in the Online Shop and, by placing an order, accept the GTC and consent to the processing of their personal data (hereinafter referred to as "Customer").
These GTC include the rules for ordering and the fundamental provisions of the contract established between the Customer and Yumraya.com.
The contract language is Hungarian.
Orders placed in the Online Shop are considered implied legal statements rather than written agreements. Consequently, contracts formed electronically between the Customer and Yumraya.com do not qualify as written contracts, are not recorded by Yumraya, and thus cannot be accessed or reviewed later.
MODIFICATION OF THE GTC
Yumraya.com reserves the right to unilaterally modify the GTC. In the event of a substantial modification, Yumraya.com will notify its Customers via email about the effective date of the new GTC.
Any modifications to the GTC do not affect the rights and obligations established under previous versions. By placing an order in the Online Shop, the Customer agrees to the GTC in effect at the time of order placement.
1. CUSTOMER ACCOUNT
1.1 Creating a Customer Account
Registration is required to make purchases in the Online Shop. If the Customer places an order on the Yumraya.com website, an account is automatically created for them upon completion of their first order to facilitate future purchases. A confirmation email is sent to the email address provided by the Customer.
How to create a customer account?
Customers can create an account through the options provided by Yumraya.com:
- Automatic registration upon placing the first order on the Yumraya.com website
- Registration using external services (e.g., Apple, Google, Facebook)
After providing the necessary information and accepting the GTC, a confirmation email will be sent to finalize the account creation. The Customer must verify their registration by clicking the link in the email.
During registration, the Customer must provide certain personal data. To protect their information, Yumraya.com ensures that all data is processed according to its Privacy Policy.
If registering via an external service (e.g., Apple, Google, Facebook), the respective service provider's policies may also apply. Customers are advised to familiarize themselves with these terms before proceeding.
By creating a customer account, the Customer acknowledges that:
(a) The use of the Online Shop, including order placement and purchase agreements, is governed by these GTC.
(b) They will receive emails from Yumraya.com (e.g., registration confirmation, order updates), and may also be contacted via phone or SMS regarding order processing, delivery, or any issues.
(c) They are responsible for the security of their customer account and must choose a secure password and keep it confidential.
(d) Yumraya.com may require identity or age verification for certain products (see Section 7.3 of these GTC).
(e) The customer account and Yumraya.com services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
1.2 Security
During registration, the Customer must create a password for their account. The Customer is responsible for keeping this password confidential and must not share it with unauthorized third parties. They bear full responsibility for all transactions carried out through their account.
If the Customer suspects that their password has been compromised or misused by a third party, they must immediately notify Yumraya.com. If necessary, Yumraya.com reserves the right to temporarily lock the account and request the Customer to change their password.
Yumraya.com is not liable for any damages resulting from the disclosure or misuse of the Customer’s password.
1.3 Deleting a Customer Account
If a Customer wishes to delete their account, they can do so by logging in and selecting the "Delete Account" option. For assistance, they may contact Yumraya.com via email at info@yumraya@gmail.com or through the chat function.
Yumraya.com reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block customer accounts that severely or repeatedly violate these GTC or Special Conditions. In such cases, any unused credits or balances in the account may be lost without reimbursement, except in the following cases:
(a) Credits resulting from justified complaints (e.g., faulty, damaged, or missing products)
(b) Unused gift card balances from validly applied vouchers
Refunds for these amounts will be provided as a coupon in the Customer's account or, in justified cases, transferred to their bank account.
2. GENERAL TERMS OF USE FOR THE ONLINE SHOP
In the Online Shop, Yumraya.com presents products that Customers can select for their orders. Product descriptions and specifications are provided on individual product pages. The product selection displayed in the Online Shop is for informational purposes only. Customers can compile their orders based on the current product availability.
By using the Online Shop, the Customer agrees that:
(a) Payment for goods will not be made in a manner that bypasses or violates the rights of third parties, and they confirm they have the right to use the payment funds.
(b) They will not create multiple or fraudulent accounts or register accounts abusively.
(c) They will not collect, track, or copy content or information from the Online Shop using automated tools or manual methods without prior written permission from Yumraya.com.
(d) They will not attempt to breach or circumvent security measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access to the Online Shop.
(e) They will not use the Online Shop in a manner that directly or indirectly violates the rights of third parties or applicable laws.
(f) They are fully responsible for their own conduct.
If Yumraya.com detects or reasonably suspects any abuse, unlawful use, or fraud related to the Online Shop or Customer accounts, it reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete the Customer’s account.
3. ORDERS
3.1 Placing an Order Without Creating an Account
Customers can start shopping in the Online Shop without creating an account. To do so, they can simply add their desired products to the cart and follow the necessary steps to complete the order. At a minimum, Yumraya.com requires the Customer's contact details to process the order. Without this information, the order cannot be fulfilled.
All personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
To facilitate future purchases, an account will be automatically created for the Customer upon completion of their first order, and a confirmation email will be sent.
3.2 Placing an Order After Creating an Account
If the Customer already has an account, they must log in using their email and password before shopping.
Once logged in, they can add their desired products to the cart and follow the necessary steps to complete the order. Before finalizing the order, they should verify the accuracy of the provided information and the estimated total cost.
The final order amount may vary based on the exact weight of certain products, as detailed in Section 7 of these GTC.
3.3 Order Fulfillment and Conclusion of the Sales Contract
Yumraya.com will confirm the receipt of the order sent by the Buyer without delay, but no later than within 72 hours, via an automatic confirmation email. This confirmation email will include the details provided by the Buyer (name, phone number, shipping information, etc.), the order ID, a list of the ordered products, their quantity, price, shipping/pick-up fee, and the total amount payable. The Buyer is released from their offer commitment if they do not receive the confirmation email from Yumraya.com within 72 hours. This means they are not obliged to purchase the products listed in their order.
A sales contract related to the products ordered through the Online Shop is established between Yumraya.com and the Buyer when Yumraya.com sends the order confirmation email to the Buyer. Until this moment, neither the Buyer nor Yumraya.com’s declarations or actions can be interpreted as an offer or its acceptance. The contract between the Buyer and Yumraya.com is concluded at the moment when Yumraya.com confirms the Buyer’s order via email.
According to Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) on detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses, the contract thus established is considered an electronically concluded contract in Hungarian, which Yumraya.com does not register. The order and its confirmation are deemed an electronically concluded contract, subject to the provisions of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code and Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services and certain aspects of information society services. The contract falls under Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) and complies with Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and Council on consumer rights.
3.4 Substitute Products
In case certain products cannot be delivered due to stock shortages, the unavailable items will be removed, and the final order amount will be adjusted accordingly. If substitute products are available, we will notify the Buyer via email (based on the account information) and offer the substitute product for delivery. The Buyer has the right to refuse the substitute product during the prior notification.
If the substitute product is more expensive than the originally ordered product, the Buyer will bear the price difference. If the substitute product is cheaper, the price difference will be deducted from the final payable amount.
3.5 Changes to Confirmed Orders
3.5.1 Other Modifications
If the Buyer wishes to modify their order, our customer service is available through the contact details provided in section 15 of this Terms and Conditions (GTC). Please note that orders that are already packaged and in transit cannot be modified.
3.6 Order Delivery and Acceptance
Orders will be delivered by courier to the address provided by the Buyer. The Buyer is obliged to accept the order unless they exercise their legal right of withdrawal. Upon receiving the goods, the risk of damage transfers to the Buyer.
If the Buyer accepts the order but fails to pay for it after Yumraya.com issues a written reminder, Yumraya.com reserves the right to temporarily block the customer account. If payment is not completed within 14 days from the account block, we reserve the right to delete the customer account. Blocking or deleting the account does not affect Yumraya.com’s right to claim the amount due for the order.
3.7 Discounts Based on Cart Value
Please note that for any discounts or benefits tied to a specific cart value, only the price of the ordered products is considered in calculating the required threshold. Charges such as deposit fees, mandatory return fees, tips, shipping fees, or reusable bag fees are not included in the calculation.
3.8 Complaints
If the Buyer receives a faulty, damaged, or incomplete order/product, they are entitled to the rights specified in section 13 of this Terms and Conditions (GTC).
3.9 Display of Online Shop Content
Our Online Shop provides a personalized shopping experience based on the Buyer’s previous purchases and account data. This ensures that their favorite products appear higher in search results for a faster and more convenient shopping experience. Sponsored products are always marked separately and are not personalized recommendations.
4. AVAILABILITY, DELIVERY TIME SLOTS, AND SHIPPING FEES
4.1 Delivery Time Slots and Shipping Fees
Delivery time slots and fees may vary depending on the delivery location and time.
Information on delivery availability, fees, and time slots can be found on the Online Shop interface and during checkout when selecting the delivery time slot. Delivery is free for orders exceeding HUF 30,000 or EUR 75 in Hungary, and EUR 125 in Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Czechia and Poland.
4.2 Delivery Address Identification
The Buyer must ensure that the provided delivery address is clearly identifiable. Yumraya.com is not responsible for failed deliveries or any damages resulting from an incorrect or unclear address.
4.3 Delivery to Specific Floors or Apartments
The Buyer may request delivery to a specific floor or apartment. In such cases, the courier service contracted by Yumraya.com will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the order to the requested location. However, the Buyer must ensure that:
(a) The courier has the necessary access conditions for entry, and
(b) There are no obstacles preventing entry (e.g., a locked main gate).
In cases where entry is restricted (e.g., office buildings or security-controlled buildings), the Buyer is responsible for facilitating access.
4.4 Delivery Timing and Delays
Yumraya.com strives to deliver products within the selected time slot but does not take responsibility for delays or non-fulfillment due to factors beyond its control or that would require unreasonable expenditures to resolve (e.g., traffic disruptions, courier partner delays, etc.).
5. PAYMENT, PAYMENT TERMS, AND INVOICING
5.1 Online Card Payment
During checkout, the Buyer will see the accepted card types for payment.
5.2 Card Payment on Delivery
The Buyer may pay by card upon delivery; however, any additional transaction costs will be borne by the Buyer.
5.3 Cash Payment on Delivery
The Buyer may pay in cash upon delivery, but any additional costs associated with this payment method will be the Buyer’s responsibility.
5.4 Credits
The Buyer can use credits to pay for an order if they have credits available in their account at the time of checkout. The appropriate payment method should be selected at checkout to use credits for full or partial payment.
The availability of credits in the Buyer’s account may vary over time. Typically, credits are granted through gift vouchers, refunds, or other cases outlined in this Terms and Conditions (GTC) or provided by Yumraya.com.
Please note that credits have a limited validity period. The Buyer will be informed of the expiration date when the credits are added to their account, and they can check the validity at any time in their account. If uncertain about the expiration period, the Buyer should contact Yumraya.com’s customer service at the contact details in section 16 of this GTC. If the credits are not used before expiration, they will be deleted from the account without compensation.
If an account is deleted, unused credits will be lost without refund (except in cases outlined in section 1.3 of this GTC).
Please note that if the Buyer violates this GTC or Special Terms, Yumraya.com may:
(a) Cancel the order if unauthorized or fraudulently obtained credits were used for payment, or
(b) Delete the credits from the account without refund (e.g., if they were obtained illegally or through fraudulent activities).
5.5 Additional Important Payment Information
The prices displayed in the Online Shop include VAT. An order is considered paid when the full purchase price has been credited to Yumraya.com’s bank account, when the amount is paid in cash to the courier upon delivery, when credits are deducted from the customer's account, or when the purchase is completed using a bank card.
Ownership of the goods is transferred to the Buyer only after full payment has been made.
Yumraya.com reserves the right to refuse any payment transaction at its sole discretion if there is suspicion of fraud, money laundering, or financing of terrorism.
5.6 Invoicing
5.6.1 Availability of Invoice and Receipt (Delivery Note)
Invoices are issued electronically and can be accessed via the customer account or email. A paper invoice will only be issued upon explicit request from the Buyer.
After payment, the Buyer can download their invoice and receipt (delivery note) at any time from their customer account under the "Documents" section. The invoice includes only the items received and the amount paid. The electronically issued invoice is considered equivalent to a paper invoice.
Please note that emails from Yumraya.com may be directed to the spam folder. If the invoice and delivery note confirmation email are not received, the Buyer should check their spam/junk email folder.
5.6.2 Issuance of VAT Invoice
A VAT invoice can only be requested at the time of ordering through the customer account on www.yumraya.com. During checkout, the Buyer must click on their name, select the Billing Details option, and provide the company name, registered address, company registration number, tax number, and the email address for receiving the invoice. The system will then automatically generate the VAT invoice. This process must be completed separately for each order. If this step is missed, the invoice will be issued in the name and address specified in the customer account.
For gift card purchases requiring a VAT invoice, billing details must be provided before purchase in the Account section under Billing Details.
Invoice modifications can be requested until the 10th day of the month following order receipt. However, modifications to gift card purchase invoices are not possible after the order has been completed.
6. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
6.1 Right to Withdraw from the Contract
The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the order without providing a reason.
If the order is delivered in multiple shipments, the withdrawal period begins from the date the final shipment is received.
6.2 Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The Buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal for:
(i) Perishable or short-shelf-life food products (e.g., sauces, ready-to-eat meals).
(ii) Sealed audio/video recordings or software if the packaging has been opened.
(iii) Products that, due to their nature, become inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery.
(iv) Sealed products that cannot be returned after opening for hygiene or health reasons (e.g., cosmetics, underwear), even if unopened.
6.3 Return Process in Case of Withdrawal
The easiest way to return a product after withdrawal is to hand it back to the courier who delivered it. If this is not possible, the Buyer should contact Yumraya.com using the contact details provided in Section 15 of this GTC (for faster response, we recommend emailing info.yumraya@gmail.com or calling +36 70 621 8254).
The Buyer may also use the withdrawal form available in Appendix 1 of this GTC.
The Buyer must return the withdrawn products at their own expense to the address specified in Section 15 within the withdrawal period. The Buyer is responsible for any depreciation in product value, so items must be returned in complete and undamaged condition.
Once a valid withdrawal is confirmed, the refund will be processed within 14 days from the receipt of the returned products or proof of return. The refund will be issued as a coupon to the Buyer’s customer account, or to the bank account provided in the withdrawal declaration.
If the product is faulty, the Buyer’s rights regarding defective goods are regulated under Section 13 of this GTC. The withdrawal procedure described in Section 6 does not apply to faulty products.
7. SPECIAL PRODUCT CATEGORIES
7.1 Alcoholic Products
The Buyer may only purchase alcoholic products if they are 18 years or older. Selling alcoholic beverages to minors is prohibited.
The courier is entitled to request an official identification document to verify the Buyer’s age before handing over alcoholic products. If a visual check is insufficient to confirm the Buyer’s age, the courier may refuse to deliver the alcoholic items.
If age verification is not possible, Yumraya.com will terminate the sales contract for the alcoholic products and immediately refund the purchase amount (if paid in advance) via coupon or bank transfer.
8. PURCHASES BY LEGAL ENTITIES
The Online Shop can also be used by legal entities for operational purposes, such as supplying an office with sweets, snacks, pasta, and beverages. Please note that business-purpose orders (e.g., resale) are not permitted in the Online Shop. Additionally, Section 6 of these Terms and Conditions does not apply to purchases made by legal entities. Complaints can be submitted in accordance with the complaints procedure outlined in Section 14 of these Terms and Conditions.
The invoicing process is detailed in Section 5.6.2 of these Terms and Conditions.

If a defect is discovered after delivery and it is determined that the defect existed at the time of transfer (or at least its cause was present at that time), the Buyer is entitled to a claim under Section 12.1 of these Terms and Conditions. Such claims can be submitted via Yumraya.com’s customer service by phone, email, or chat (contact details are in Section 15).
