🌏 A Taste of Asia at Home
Inspired by the bold flavors of Japan and the Philippines, this recipe blends juicy chicken, vibrant vegetables, and a rich, creamy peanut sauce. It's comforting, healthy, and surprisingly easy—even if you're new to Asian cooking.
🛒 What You’ll Need (Serves 4)
-
2 packs of Shirataki Udon Noodles (400g)
-
2 stalks green onion (thinly sliced)
-
2 tbsp OTTOGI Sesame Oil
-
2 tbsp Datu Puti Soy Sauce (adjust to taste)
-
150–200 ml water
-
500g boneless chicken breast (cut into small cubes)
-
500–750g frozen vegetable mix
🍜 How to Make It
1. Prepare the ingredients:
Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Slice the green onions. Boil about 1.5 liters of water in a kettle for the noodles later.
2. Start with the aromatics:
Heat a pan on medium heat and add about 2 tablespoons of OTTOGI sesame oil. Add the green onions and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add the chicken:
Toss in the diced chicken and cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden on the outside and fully cooked through.
4. Cook the vegetables:
In a separate pan, stir-fry your frozen vegetable mix for about 5 minutes on medium-high heat until cooked but still slightly crisp.
5. Add the peanut sauce:
To the chicken, add the full packet of Mama Sita's Peanut Sauce Mix and pour in 150–200 ml of water. Stir until the sauce thickens. Add 1–2 tablespoons of Datu Puti soy sauce to taste—spicy or mild, it’s up to you! Taste and adjust with more water or soy sauce as needed.
6. Combine everything:
Add the cooked vegetables into the chicken and peanut sauce mixture. Mix well and let everything simmer together for another 3–5 minutes.
7. Prepare the noodles:
Open the Shirataki udon noodle packs and drain them in a colander. Slowly pour the hot water over the noodles to rinse and soften them.
8. Mix it all together:
Add the rinsed noodles to the pan with your chicken and veggies. Gently toss everything together so the sauce coats the noodles evenly.
🍽️ Serve & Enjoy
Plate it up and serve hot! This dish serves 4 people generously and is easy to scale up or down based on your needs. It’s a perfect option for a cozy family dinner or a flavorful meal prep idea for the week.
